Congratulations on your call and your assignment to the California Anaheim Mission!  This page will help you prepare for your assignment.

Know Your Purpose
A missionary’s purpose is to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end” (Preach My Gospel: A Guide to Missionary Service[2004], 1).

Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon is an essential component of the conversion process.  Read, study, and ponder its pages daily.  Seek to obtain and strengthen your testimony of the truthfulness of this powerful witness of Jesus Christ. 

"We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Introduction to the Book of Mormon)

Preach My Gospel
"Preach My Gospel is intended to help you be a better-prepared, more spiritually mature missionary and a more persuasive teacher.  We urge you to use it daily in your personal and companion preparation, and in your district meetings and zone conferences.  Study the referenced scriptures and learn the doctrines and principles." (Preach My Gospel: A Guide to Missionary Service[2004], First Presidency Message, pg. v).
